Meet Our Dentists

Dr. T. Dean Walker

Dr. WalkerDr. Walker was born in Los Angeles, California. He moved to Oregon as a young boy and grew up there. He returned to California for his college education, and graduated from Loma Linda University School of Dentistry in 1997. He continued his education there, and received his Master’s Degree in Pediatric Dentistry in 1999. He practiced in California for sixteen years. While practicing in California, Dr. Walker served as a consultant for the Craniofacial Team at Loma Linda University. Dr. Walker, his wife and two children moved to the Chattanooga area to be close to family.

Dr. Walker is on staff with Children’s Hospital at Erlanger. He is PALS certified, and maintains his annual continuing education requirements. He is a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, Tennessee Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, American Dental Association, Tennessee Dental Association and the Chattanooga Area Dental Society.

Dr. Walker has received the prestigious “Dentistry for Children Award.”

Dr. Walker enjoys family activities, playing basketball, coaching baseball, watching his children participate in school athletic events and traveling.

Dr. Sidney T. Cox

Dr Cox

Dr. Sidney T. Cox was born and raised in Savannah, Georgia. He received master’s and doctoral degrees from the University of Georgia. He then received his dental degree and a master’s degree in pediatric dentistry from the University of Tennessee Dental School at Memphis. He has been practicing pediatric dentistry and hospital dentistry in Chattanooga, Tennessee for over 40 years.

Dr. Cox was the pediatric dental consultant of the nationally recognized Tennessee Craniofacial Center until its dissolution in 2016. He is certified in Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and exceeds the annual continuing education requirement for his profession. He is board certified and a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. In March 2010, Dr. Cox received the Terri Farmer Service Award from the Craniofacial Foundation of America.  Dr. Cox has been involved with the care of cleft palate children since 1976.

In his spare time, Dr. Cox loves cycling and being outdoors.
